Best Weapon for Fated Adventurer in Monster Hunter Outlanders

Fated Adventurer is the main character that you customise at the start of the game. All the other adventurers in Monster Hunter Outlanders are tied to specific weapons, and that is what makes the Fated Adventurer different. You can swap between any available weapon in the game and build the Fated Adventurer accordingly. Therefore, it is important to know what the best weapon is for the Fated Adventurer in Monster Hunter Outlanders.

Heavy Bowgun (S+)
The Heavy Bowgun is the easiest and best weapon choice for Fated Adventurer in Monster Hunter Outlanders if you want to maximise the damage potential. It has two major benefits first is it’s range that lets you be at a safe distance and the second one is the damage. Pick this if you want the easiest path to serious damage.
The Bow (S)
The Bow is probably my favourite weapon in Monster Hunter Outlanders. During CBT3, I loved Luka’s gameplay who is also a bow user.
Bow has decent damage, but the major reason it is in S tier is because of its range. However the only drawback I feel it has compared to Heavy Bowgun is that Bow is much more positioning dependent and you will need to get close enough for your spread shot to land.
Great Sword (S)
The Great Sword is the safest strong melee weapon. Its tackle has super armor, and you can use it from standing or in the middle of a combo, so it works as an escape and an attack at the same time. I find it quite competitive to Dual Blades; however, since it is a melee weapon and I find myself in range of an enemy’s attack more often, I considered the durability factor as well.
However if you compare the damage, then Dual Blades is stronger and much faster than Great Sword.
Dual Blades (A)
If it comes to raw damage power, then no melee weapon comes close to Dual Blade. Even when you compare it to the damage output of the Bow and Heavy Bowgun, Dual Blade holds firm and loses by a slight margin. However, when you actually use the weapon in combat, it is a different story since Dual Blade has an assassin-kind of gameplay, so you will find yourself chasing the monster quite often, which decreases your total damage.
Another reason why I ranked it below Great Sword is because Great Sword is comparatively beginner friendly and easier to use.
