Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday: Avengers: Endgame Mode Explained

Marvel Rivals will receive its second weekly update after the launch of Season 10.5. This weekly update will bring three Halloween costumes named Black Cat Fatal Weaver, Elsa Bloodstone Gothic Huntress, and Jeff the Land Shark Sharknos. Along with these three skins, we will be receiving a new Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday mode: Avengers: Endgame. Here are all the details you need to know about Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday: Avengers: Endgame Mode.

How to Play Path to Doomsday: Avengers: Endgame Mode

Unlike the Path to Doomsday: Infinity Wars mode, this is not a PvP mode. Instead, it is a PvE mode in which you will be fighting Thanos as a team of 50 members. According to the trailer posted by NetEase, we can spot almost every character in the Marvel Rivals roster fighting Thanos. This brings us to the conclusion that all the characters will be open to play in this mode. As of what we can see in the trailer, the only goal as of now seems to be bringing Thanos’s health to zero. If your team is able to do so, the victory screen will be similar to the one in the movie, where Iron Man will receive the Infinity Gauntlet and say the famous lines that still hurt, “I am Iron Man.”

How to Beat Thanos in Path to Doomsday: Avengers: Endgame Mode

As of October 20, 2026, the mode is not live, therefore this section is just based on what I could spot in the trailer. Once the update is live, I will update this section with all the details. Until then, based on the trailer, it seems like there will be different phases of fights against Thanos.

Phase 1

In Phase 1, Thanos will be using his Double-Edged Sword. There will be three attack patterns in this phase:

  • A three-combo pattern: Two diagonal slashes followed by a third vertical slash that knocks people up
  • Two Cleave Pattern: Two heavy vertical slashes with a really low gap between them. This has a higher range, however it doesn’t knock you up
  • Sword Throw: Thanos throws his Double-Edged Sword in a direction and it comes back to him.

During this phase, we even spotted that Thanos had two of his minions around him. However, the other enemies except these two were untargetable and they don’t damage you. Also, I am not sure if these minions will keep spawning.

Phase 2

This phase starts with a short cutscene in which Thanos drops his weapon. After that, he will use his Infinity Gauntlet to attack with beams. Alongside his beams, Thanos calls upon the help of his spaceship Sanctuary, which keeps spamming missile barrages on the ground.

Right now, we are not sure what the objectives you need to hit are for the fight phase to change, as in, whether it will be based on defeating the minions or depleting a certain % of Thanos’ HP. However, once the mode is live, I will be updating this section.

Best Characters to Pick in Path to Doomsday: Avengers: Endgame Mode

In the trailer, the devs are playing Iron Man, and from what I could notice, they were having quite an easy time as they were mostly out of Thanos’ range. Therefore, it is pretty obvious that playing flying characters such as Iron Man, Human Torch, Ultron, or any ranged characters will be a good option.

Furthermore, I am not sure if you can pick duplicate characters, so if you cannot pick the same characters, that will pretty much mean there will be 50 different characters out of a roster of 54.

That is everything we know about the Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday: Avengers: Endgame Mode so far. I will be updating this guide on October 23 once the update goes live, so make sure to bookmark this page and check back then.

On a side note, with NetEase putting so much effort into these Doomsday-themed modes, I do think there is a good chance Doctor Doom could be an upcoming Marvel Rivals character. Season 11.5 is releasing around the same week as the Doomsday movie, so it would honestly make a lot of sense for NetEase to drop him right around that time.
