Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday Infinity War Mode Explained

The Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday Infinity War mode is coming alongside Season 10.5 on October 9, 2026. The mode was announced during the Dev Vision stream on October 8, where Guangguang outlined everything coming to the season, including new events, Halloween skins, and Path to Doomsday Infinity War Mode. Here is everything confirmed about how it works.
How Does Infinity War Mode Works in Marvel Rivals?

Infinity War Mode is a new mode that will be a 2v2 PvP mode. The mode will take place on the Battlefield of Wakanda. A total of 12 players form six teams of two, and they can choose between thirteen available characters. Teams then compete in a round-robin series of 2v2 death matches against each other.
Losing a round will cause your team to lose health, and once your health is fully depleted, your team will be eliminated from the match. The last team standing will win the match.

How Do Infinity Stones Work?
At the start of the match, each team will be randomly assigned one of the six Infinity Stones. Each stone provides an ability that is unique to it.
From what I noticed in the gameplay trailer, there is a message on the hero selection screen that reads, “Infinity Stones stay dormant; can be used in 3 rounds,” which means you can start using your stone from round 4 onwards. The stones get an enhanced version around round 7, though this hasn’t been officially confirmed yet; in the gameplay trailer, we could see “enhanced effect” in Infinity Stone’s description, and on the bar below we could see an upward arrow at round 7, which probably refers to this upgrade. We’ll update this once the mode is live.
If you eliminate another team, you can claim their Infinity Stone. You can hold multiple stones and switch between them by pressing Z on the keyboard. To activate a stone, press G or the equivalent input on your device. You can also track which stone each opposing team currently holds by checking their icon on the right side of the screen alongside their current health.

How Do Enhancement Cards Work?
Before each round begins, the teams will enter a Prepare Phase where players choose from a pool of Skill Cards. According to the gameplay shown in the trailer, there are three types of Skill Cards:
- Ability Enhancement Cards: Directly upgrade and modify a specific character skill
- Stat Improvement Cards: Boost general combat stats like damage, health, or cooldown reduction
- Special Effect Cards: Had a sparkle effect, these cards have more detailed and complex effects compared to just the normal Stat Cards.
