Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday Infinity War Tier List

Recently, I covered a guide about builds for every character in Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday: Infinity War. However, making the right build is only half of the story, as choosing the right character also makes a huge difference in the outcome. I have played this mode consistently since the launch, and the thing I realised is that the pair you are playing with matters as much as the single character you are picking. None of the characters felt bad, but some heroes worked well in almost every situation and against every team. Here is a Marvel Rivals Path to Doomsday Infinity War Tier List ranking all the characters and explaining why they are in that particular tier as well.
Path to Doomsday Infinity War Tier List

| Tier | Name |
|---|---|
| S+ | Mantis |
| S | Doctor Strange, Captain America, Scarlet Witch, Winter Soldier |
| A | Rocket Raccoon, Thor |
| B | Groot, Black Widow, Iron Man, Spider-Man, Star-Lord, Black Panther |
Best Characters in Path to Doomsday Infinity War
Mantis
Mantis is undoubtedly the strongest pick in the mode. She pairs well with every character in the mode, especially if you give her a beefy frontline, such as Captain America or Thor, she becomes incredibly strong. For her build, the Twin Branches build path is much stronger than the Blooming Dreams path. You will probably face at least one duo running her for sure, and if that is the case, make sure you take her down as soon as possible.
Doctor Strange
Doctor Strange is another strong choice to pick. Both his build paths are equally viable, and the reason I have added him to this list is that since all his cards are genuinely good, the RNG factor haunts you a little less. If you pair him with another strong option such as Rocket Raccoon, Captain America, Scarlet Witch and Mantis, he can really do great damage numbers. I played him in around 7-8 rounds and in all of them I ranked top 2 and did 200k+ damage.
Captain America
Captain America is one of the easiest characters to play and doesn’t require a lot of mechanical skills either. Pick his Ricochet Vanguard build, and with the right enhancements like All Rounder and Weakness Insight, you will deal an insane amount of damage.
Scarlet Witch
Scarlet Witch starts pretty weak in this mode for the first few rounds but scales really well once you have unlocked specific cards. Similar to Strange, but the build paths for Scarlet Witch are viable, and not just that, you can actually build both the paths together as well. One card in particular you should really look for is the “Full Refund” enhancement, which lets you cast your ultimate twice.
Winter Soldier
Bucky is great in this mode; he has great damage, and if you pick the right cards, he can sustain quite well. I personally prefer playing the Silver Barrel build and stacking cards that enhance his primary damage and his health or damage reduction.
Other characters in Path to Doomsday Infinity War mode are good as well, and ranking them individually will somewhat be a mistake. So for example: Thor alone, in my opinion, is an A tier character; however, if you pair him with Mantis, the team alone is definitely one of the strongest in this mode. Therefore, there will be instances where this tier list won’t hold strong, and it is just ranking characters based on their solo viability alone.
