Orbitals Chapter 5 Walkthrough: Shattered Gravity

After entering the asteroid core at the end of Orbitals Chapter 4, Chapter 5 begins: Shattered Gravity. Your first objective in this chapter is to find the Reactor Cassette.

Objective: Find the Reactor Cassette

Follow the yellow marker and keep moving forward. You will soon come across a green gas blocking your path. Burn through it using the Beam Cannon and keep moving forward.

The Shuttle

Soon you will come across a digital platform with purple lights. Step onto it. Use the Scrap Hook on the wall ahead, followed by the Beam Cannon, to start the shuttle. Navigate the shuttle through the obstacles by managing your weight. If you want it to lean left, move to the left side, and if you want it to go right, shift to the right side.

Once the shuttle stops, head right to unlock a new train and recreation module for your ship: Laser Tag. After that, get back on the main path.

Side by Side Challenges

Soon you will see two platforms. Each player needs to stand on one of them. Press X and a short cutscene will play. After that the camera angle will change.

From here, you will need to complete challenges side by side without a split-screen, working together to help each other reach the other side. This section is a bit tricky, and the sync between both players really matters, so it may take a few tries. The general gameplay loop here is that the person with Scrap Hook needs to help raise the platform for the one with Beam Cannon by either using his tool on the levers in his path or by standing on the platforms.

On the other side, the person on the bottom needs to power the crystals with Beam Cannon, which in turn powers the rotating rifts for the person above to move forward. Once you reach the end, press X to go through the door.

After this you will have your boosters equipped. Start moving forward through the tunnel-like area to reach the end. At the end, open the airlock together and a cutscene will play. In the cutscene you will see a drone taking the Reactor Cassette.

Objective: Talk to Togen

Once the cutscene ends, you will be back home. Your new objective is to “Talk to Togen”. Keep moving toward the yellow marker on screen until you meet Togen. Once you reach him, a cutscene will play.

Objective: Head Back to the Asteroid Fields

After the cutscene, your next objective is “Head Back to the Asteroid Fields”, with your sub-objective being “Leave Settlement”. Follow the yellow marker on screen to reach your ship. Once inside, take your seat, and a cutscene will play. Move toward the yellow marker to head back to the asteroid fields, completing this objective.
