GTA 6 Fast Travel: Every Confirmed Way to Get Around Leonida

Creators who visited Rockstar North have confirmed the presence of fast travel in GTA 6, and it does make sense, as the GTA 6 map will be huge. We did get a glimpse of the map size in the Netflix extended look where Lucia is paragliding, and we can see the whole cityscape. Even though I am certain there will be plenty of vehicles and travel options, having a fast travel option always comes in handy. Here are all the fast travel methods confirmed for GTA 6.
How to Fast Travel in GTA 6
| Method | How to Access |
|---|---|
| Bus Stops | Wait at a fixed stop and board |
| RydeMe App | Request a pickup from anywhere |
Bus Stops will likely be fixed points across the GTA 6 map. You wait at a stop, board when the bus arrives, and choose to either ride the full route or skip directly to your destination. We are not sure how this will work, but I will keep updating this section as more details and gameplay footage are released.
RydeMe app will work similarly to any cab service app in real life. You open the app on your in-game phone, request a driver, and get picked up from wherever you are. According to various GTA 6 content creators, RydeMe will have cab sharing with NPCs. You can choose to have a dialogue with these NPCs or skip the option entirely to fast travel to your location.

Other Ways to Fast Travel in GTA 6
As for other GTA 6 fast travel options, nothing else has been confirmed yet. However, I do expect there will be a few other options, considering the size of the GTA 6 map. There will probably be a few methods that existed in previous GTA entries:
- GTA V kept fast travel fairly minimal in Story Mode. The main option was calling Downtown Cab Co. or hailing a passing taxi, setting a waypoint, and using the Skip Trip option to arrive instantly.
- Then there was the character-switching option. While it wasn’t really a fast-travel option, swapping between Michael, Franklin, and Trevor would place them somewhere else on the map.
- GTA Online expanded on this with spawn location manipulation by setting up a spawn preference on the properties you owned. I do feel this might eventually make its way into GTA 6 as a fast travel option.

GTA 6 already has similar options with the RydeMe app and the bus stop network, and both feel more integrated into the world than GTA V’s taxi system ever was. Whether Rockstar adds property-based travel, additional apps, or other systems on top of those has not been confirmed.
Given how much larger Leonida looks compared to Los Santos, more options surfacing at launch or through post-launch updates would not be surprising.
