Rarity Type and Cards in Radiance
Radiance will have 180 cards in total, including 66 Showcase cards. Radiance will feature the second Ultimate Rare of Riftbound. The splash art for Ultimate Rare Cards hasn’t been revealed yet, but according to the official Riftbound blog, it will be revealed on October 5, 2026. Each Radiance Booster pack will have a 0.025% chance of getting an Ultimate Rare Card.
Apart from Ultimate Rare Cards, Radiance will have the other regular collectability cards as well:
- Special Cards: These are Special Alt Cards that appear at roughly the same frequency as Alt Art cards..
- Overnumbered Cards: All the nine Radiance Legends will get an Overnumbered Card in two versions: a normal one and one with the artist’s signature.
- Heartsteel Overnumber: Apart from the regular Overnumber, Six Radiance cards will get a new makeover based on Riot’s boy band, Heartsteel.
- Alt Art Runes: Radiance will receive new Alt Art for the six runes available in the game. The art theme matches that of Radiance; these runes will have musically inspired art.
- Promo Cards: You can get these cards by participating in Pre-Rifts, Summoner Skirmish, Nexus Night, and some other ways.

Radiance New Mechanics
Just like every other set, Riftbound Radiance introduces three new mechanics:
Deploy: When you play a Gear with a “Deploy” effect, it will grant benefits while it is there. When the opponent holds that Battlefield kill this gear.

Show Off: When a card with the “Show Off” effect is played, reveal a qualifying card from your hand or the board to unlock a new effect from the played card.

Disarm: When you play a card with a “Disarm” effect, it reduces the might of an enemy Unit as you attack.

New Card Types
Apart from the three new mechanics, two new card types are being introduced. A new unit type: Equipment Unit, and a new Token: Bomb. Here is how both of them work
Equipment Unit: With Orianna’s Legend card, you can now turn Equipment into Units. However, when an Equipment becomes a Unit, it is automatically unequipped.

Bomb: It is a Token Gear, and has the following effect:
- DEPLOY (Play this only to a battlefield. When an opponent holds here, kill this.)
- DEATHKNELL (Deal 2 to an enemy unit here and kill all other Bombs you control here.
